Kristie & Jake were high school sweethearts! They got married in a beautiful church in Albemarle, NC and their reception was held at the old train depot in Albemarle, NC. Kristie got intouch with me April 2007 only a few months prior to her wedding. She was one of those Brides that got dumped by her "ALL IN ONE" Bridal Shops. The company had multiple photographers, dj's, videographers for their clients to choose from. Which is all good. But, in her case the photographer that she chose no longer worked for the company. The owner did not inform her until the day of her engagement shoot. I just happened to be at the right place at the right time. I was finishing up with my own Engagement session when her photographer asked me some equipment questions. I thought this dude is rude! Leaving the couple standing on the bridge to ask me questions. They only get a minimum amount of time. Not knowing if their session was over or had just began I gave him my card and told him to contact me. When Kristie contacted me she reminded me of who she was and mention during our conversation that she asked the other photographer if he knew who I was at their engagement shoot. She said that he said, Oh yeah sorry about that, she a good friend and I just wanted to say hi! Kriste said then you don't mind if I have her card then do you? I thought this was very smart on her behalf. To make this very long story a short one. Kristie ended up letting the other company go and loosing all of her money just to book me. I was truly honored to be the one to photograph and capture their day.
